Over 1.5 per mille – a drunk mountain biker crashed head-on into the car


A 56-year-old, completely drunk mountain biker from Hörbranz drove a mountain route in Hohenweiler on Saturday evening. He lost control of his bike and crashed into a parked car.

The mountain bike ride of a 56-year-old man from Hörbranz came to a bad end on Saturday at 7:50 p.m. in Hohenweiler. There the biker drove from the Gehren parcel downhill towards Hörbranz. In a slight right-hand bend, he lost control of his bike and came across the left side of the road to a gravel parking lot.

Property damage and alcohol test
There the man tried to brake, but still hit a parked car head-on. Because he was not wearing a helmet, the cyclist sustained head injuries. One of his legs did not survive the crash unscathed either. The parked car was also damaged. After the first aid, the injured person was taken to hospital, where an alcohol test was also carried out. Result: 1.54 per mille.
