Overdue innovation in Google Maps: Users can look forward to it

First and foremost, Google Maps should be used via the corresponding apps on Android and iOS. But the browser version also has a lot to offer. Google has now presented a new feature for this.

It’s a kind of history of the last places you clicked on. It is known as “Dock to bottom”. If you click on a place, a blue button appears, which you can use to add the place to a list at the bottom of the screen.

Google Maps: The innovation is still in the test phase

Apparently, however, Google is still testing how the function should ultimately look. The places visited were automatically added to the bar for the colleagues from “Smartdroid”. The blue button, however, was not available. In our own tests, the function was generally not yet available.

The new feature could help in particular to compare restaurants, for example, or to get quick access to frequently used places. Incidentally, individual entries can be removed from the list at any time. It shouldn’t be long before all Maps users see the function.
