NARRATIVE – While the amending finance bill is currently being debated in the National Assembly, amendments tabled by the majority aim to raise the tax exemption ceiling for overtime. A logic that has been debated since 2007.

During the examination of the amending finance bill last week, amendments tabled by Mathieu Lefèvre and Aurore Bergé, two Renaissance deputies, and by their colleagues from Horizons in the Finance Committee, were adopted. The first “aims to raise the tax exemption ceiling for overtime and additional hours worked by employees to 7,500 euros” for the year 2022. The second is in the same line. A clear reference to the famous “Work more to earn more“Dating from the 2007 campaign. Amendments which were adopted during the first reading debates of the “PLFR” on July 21 in the hemicycle. “It is a measure in favor of working France.
