Overwatch 2: a balancing patch and an update on skins and rewards before Season 2

Since the launch ofOverwatch 2 At the beginning of last month, players faced two problems: fairly minor bugs, and an economic model that had a hard time convincing the first hour fans. This week, Blizzard made several exciting announcements and launched an update.

First, a balancing patch was released last night in Overwatch 2 and, good news, May is finally back. L’Heroin had been removed from the game due to issues with its ice wall, it is finally playable again. On the change side, we have of the nerves for D.Va, Zarya, Genji, Jackal, dark and Kirikoyou can find details at the developer’s site.

But Blizzard also took the floor to discuss future changes toOverwatch 2, especially regarding the progression system and rewards. No big revolution coming, but from the Season 2 next month, players will be able to earn skins playing during eventsin addition to the outfits to buy in the shop and the cosmetic elements to unlock via the Twitch Drops. For the Season 3the studio announces changes for the battle pass with more interesting challenges and more captivating progression.

On the side of the waiting time to find a part, well, the free-to-play didn’t really solve the problem. Admittedly, it no longer takes 10 minutes to play a game in DPSbut the queue for tanks and DPS still a bit high, Blizzard thinks about solutions internallyin particular by making the Hero Of type Support more interesting to play. About the Competitive games, matching players of the same rank is still a problem, but an update was launched this week to avoid imbalances and unlikely rank changes. Again, the devs will detail all of this when the real big fixes are ready.

Blizzard take care as best he can ofOverwatch 2, so much the better for the players. As a reminder, the Season 2 will be launched next month, it will introduce the 36th Hero of the game, the Tank Ramattra. Next year we will be able to discover a new Tank as well as two healers.
