Overwatch 2: After Pokémon, McDonald’s could collaborate with the famous FPS

Since October 4, the second opus of the famous Overwatch license has been in full swing and players are at the rendezvous in the arenas! The free-to-play accessible to all seduces thanks to its novelties, its new heroine Kiriko, but also an overdeveloped PvP aspect. In short, despite recurring bugs and long queues at launch, the hype Overwatch 2 is well and truly launched.

Meanwhile, the official McDonalds Australia Twitter account posted a very mysterious announcement: an image of the Overwatch 2 logo with the message “coming soon”. Immediately, the post went around the world and intrigued many fans of the Blizzard license. While the announcement was made on McDonalds Australia account exclusively (no other countries), what can this mean?

Disclaimer: the theories that follow are…theories. The McDonalds or Blizzard teams have not yet specified the nature of this mysterious collaboration. Of course, we will keep you informed as soon as there is news.

Overwatch 2 menus at Mcdo?

First possibility that fans of the license thought of, Overwatch burgers at the largest fast food chain in the world. We are happy to imagine a Happy Meal menu with toys bearing the image of Overwatch heroines, or even a menu containing codes allowing customers/players to obtain exclusive in-game items.

Why not even promotional posters with an Overwatch 2 theme, to accompany the visuals of the menus. In the theme, Twitter users already have their heads full of ideas.

McDonalds skins in Overwatch 2?

Let’s take the problem the other way round and now imagine Overwatch 2 themed cosmetics. So players could get McDonalds branded skins (red and yellow or green and yellow) and fight under the colors of their favorite fast-food chain!

Better yet, the collaboration could allow players eating at McDonalds to obtain codes allowing them to have access to exclusive cosmetics? Also on this subject, the community has a lot of imagination.

Theories aside, we’ll let Blizzard teams tell us more about the situation in due course. A question still arises: Will the supposed menus/skins be available in Australia only?
