Powerful Parry is a new ability which takes center stage in Doomfist’s arsenal. It allows him to adopt a defensive posture that reduces all damage coming from his face by 90%. When he blocks damage to protect his team, his Infernal Jab charges quickly, allowing him to knock back opponents, who are stunned for about a second if they hit a wall. “If you block a heavy attack, the charge is immediate. Shockwave now causes Doomfist to propel itself in the targeted direction, as is already the case for Winston’s leap. The impact of landing deals damage to opponents and slows them down. “Doomfist benefits from ultra-smooth mobility on all fronts,” says Geoff Goodman. With Shockwave, he significantly gains in agility, but his movements become less jerky and unpredictable. Doomfist has a lot in common with other disruptive tanks like Bouldozer or Winston, and careful positioning is essential. For example, before throwing yourself at the opposing team with your Shockwave, keep in mind that your Power Parry can only block damage coming from the front. So be sure to jump over your opponents so you can block their damage and throw them towards your teammates with a Hell Jab without fearing an attack from behind.

Doomfist’s ultimate ability, Meteor Strike, is gaining a new effect and having its cooldown shortened. Its damage is reduced overall, but the impact damage from the central area remains devastating. Knockback is replaced with a slow effect that affects all opponents hit, making this ability ideal for engaging in combat. This revamped ultimate combines with Doomfist’s new tanking arsenal to recreate the edgy, efficient play that characterized him as a damage hero. She must bring something to the game and appeal to players attached to Orisa. Thanks to this overhaul, Orisa is adorned with a style of play adapted to the 5v5 format and has even more tools to initiate teamfights.

His hit points and armor have been increased to help him engage the opposing team. Orisa’s primary fire is a projectile that increases in size and damage with its proximity to enemies. His weapon does not use ammo, but it does build up heat and only cools when not in use. If overheated, the weapon is inoperable for 3 seconds. “We want Orisa to be more aggressive and initiate fights more,” said Brandon Brennan. In Overwatch 2, his weapon encourages him to get closer to opponents and choose a more forward position. Orisa’s new secondary shot, Energy Javelin, launches a javelin that strikes the first opponent in its path. “It’s a mini-stun that does more damage if there’s a wall behind the target,” says Brandon Brennan.

Lance Terra is Orisa’s new ultimate ability. The heroine shields herself and pulls in nearby enemies while charging an area attack. “For this redesign, we started by removing Orisa’s screen and her Obstruction, but we still liked the latter a lot,” says Brandon Brennan. We incorporated the concept of Hinder into Orisa’s new ultimate ability, hence the pull effect. Lance Terra gives your team an opportunity to regroup and quickly coordinate a few combos.
