Overwatch 2, the best settings and parameters
Obviously, as always, some changes differ according to the feeling, but also your machine. If you have a relatively new and powerful computer, you will have fewer changes to make than someone with a computer that is several years old.
Go to Overwatch 2’s settings, then, and go to the video tab. There, you will be able to adjust different more or less important things. Here are the parameters to apply, ideally, for improve performance and slightly increase its FPS on Overwatch 2.
- Display modee → Full screen
- Choice of screen → The one you want to play on
- Resolution → Use the recommended resolution (that of the screen)
- Field of view → You can leave 103 (default) or reduce it, although it will display fewer items on the screen
- Dynamic rendering scale → Disabled
- Render Scale → Custom
- In-game resolution → Prefer 100%
- Frame rate (FPS) → Custom
- Max Refresh Rate → Adjust according to the screen (60 Hz → 60 FPS, 144 Hz → 144 FPS, etc.
- Vertical synchronization → Disabled
- Triple buffering → Disabled
- Reduce buffering → Disabled
- NVIDIA SLR → To be activated if you have a graphics card greater than a 1000 series
- Gamma, contrast and brightness correction → You can leave the default values
As for the settings to apply in “Graphics Quality”, it will be more up to your PC and what you want to achieve. If your PC is holding up and having the maximum FPS is not your priority, you can leave graphics high, otherwise you can set everything to “low”. Here is what needs to be changed:
- High quality oversampling → AMD FSR 1.0
- Shadow quality → Disable shadows, you will gain in performance
- Ambient Occlusion → Bass
Naturally, everyone has a different feel, and these settings may not be right for you. Feel free to edit on your own to find the happy medium. You can, anyway, restore the default settings at any time, by pressing the “Delete” key.
