Overwatch 2: Skins at exorbitant prices? Players see red!

If Overwatch 2 will get a seasonal Battle Pass system, free-to-play will also offer OWL tokens, credits and points to collect in order to be able to have fun in the game shop. In addition to these different means, players should also, normally, be able to buy cosmetics with real money.

Yes but here it is… if the news of the season pass as well as the store are rather a good thing, the community is worried about the prices that the giant Blizzard will display for certain skins of our favorite agents. According to a recent survey, the studio would provide so-called “mythical” cosmeticsgoing up to 45 euros…

Skins displayed at far too exaggerated prices?

Ouch! It looks like we’re going to have to get our hands on the wallet if we want to be able to enjoy an ultra-stylish agent in Overwatch 2! Indeed, at the time of writing these lines, Blizzard seems to be in the middle of thinking about the prices it will display for some of the skins, including those in the new category called Mythical. The developers have sent a few players a survey in which several questions are present, including a question that seeks to know whether or not the players would be willing to spend a fairly substantial sum of 45 dollars for skins of this type. ..

According to Blizzard’s survey, the legendary skin would be priced at $44.99, the legendary skin would be priced at $24.99, while a legendary bundle would be priced at $29.99. It’s the cold shower. Of course, these are not, at least we hope not, the final prices, but the community got angry at them, which is understandable, and our colleagues from IGN have therefore decided to question the studio giant on this matter. In the words of Blizzard, this would simply be a survey intended to “better understand player preferences“.

This survey is entirely intended to better understand players’ preferences for different types of Overwatch 2 cosmetics. The prices displayed in the survey have been randomized by user and are not indicative of the final price. We plan to share details of our store and Battle Pass system closer to our launch.

In other words, and if we have understood correctly, the developers are therefore looking through this survey to find out what proportion of players would not be against, or on the contrary those who absolutely disagree, in order to be able to determine fairer prices. We hope for a nice surprise when the game is released, which, we remind you, will be released on October 4th on all platforms.

There’s trouble at the Overwatch Summer Series Tournament! In question, a lack of communication which caused the interruption of a key match of the tournament. A discord that has led some pro teams to quite simply… go on strike!
