The community is certainly often known to be harsh and demanding in its ratings for video games, but the ratings are sometimes deserved and raise the real problems of a game. It’s also a way for players to let players know developers that the problem is serious. Will they take it into account? That’s another topic.
It’s certain Reddit that the players of Genshin Impact we supported the players from Overwatch 2 as the game reached the depths of Metacritic with one of the worst ratings for a game of this magnitude.
1.5/5 for Overwatch 2?
While the media ratings are rather favorable for Blizzard’s new baby, the community wanted to let it be known that this was not the case on their side. With an average of 1.5 out of 5 it’s not less than 90% of marks negative and quite a list arguments that were raised by the players. Whether it’s the lack of new features, the exorbitant prices or the avalanche of bugs for a game that is “just an update”, it seems that Overwatch 2 has missed the mark to restore the image of the license. .
The game is however very popular, still attracts many players and the rating system is only an indication of the feelings of some of the players.
Support from Genshin Impact players
Genshin Impact, planetary success and gacha played by million players had suffered the same fate at the level of its ratings, too stingy gacha system, energy limitation, worries about changing keyboard keys and various problems had earned the game a terrible reputation when it was released. The game continues to be fired upon with the many posts on the few rewards distributed for birthdays for example.
Between serious posts debating the similarities in the reasons for the bad ratings or with memes, a real surge of solidarity (and of course troll) was seen between the players of Genshin Impact and Overwatch 2.
It remains to be seen whether as Genshin Impact Overwatch will be able to go back up the slope and fix the biggest issues raised by its players asking just that.
