With the Overwatch League in full swing for a few days now, Blizzard has announced that the next hero in the Overwatch 2 roster will be revealed during the Grand Finals. He will then join Kiriko, the JunkerQueen and Sojourn as the new heroes of the game.
New hero: when will the reveal take place exactly?
Blizzard gives us an appointment this Friday, November 4, 2022 during the OWL Grand Finals but when exactly? Like every evening since last weekend, the matches always start around 10:30 p.m. (French time). In general, the “days” of play-off end around 3am or 4am.
We don’t know if the announcement will be made just before the Grand Finals or at the end. It will probably be necessary to stay a little awake so as not to miss anything and discover the face of the next hero or the next heroine.
What to expect?
Many rumors and theories speak of the famous Mauga but it could just as well be any other character from the lore that we have already seen or even a new character. Anyway, Blizzard had already announced in its roadmap that a new hero would indeed arrive during Season 2 of Overwatch 2. Remember that the latter will begin on December 6, 2022 with a new Battle Pass and therefore potentially the possibility to unlock the champion at level 55 like Kiriko (or directly with the premium version), but that remains only a guess.
In the meantime, don’t forget that a big update is planned for November 15th, which should notably allow buggy Mei to return to the game.
