Overwatch 2 unveils one of its new maps

The second installment of Blizzard’s FPS license will arrive in a few days, at the beginning of October to be precise. Unsurprisingly, announcements about startup content are on the rise.

We were rewarded during the Tokyo Gameshow with the announcement trailer for Kiriko, the new support character who will inaugurate the mechanics of the battle pass exclusive to the second episode. Earlier, we were also treated to the announcements of two new characters available from the launch of the game, namely Reine des Junkers and Sojourn.

At the end of September, it’s the turn of the Esperanca card to show itself in more detail. It had already been partially shown in previous announcements, this time we can see a little more of it in a series of videos published on the game’s Twitter account. We already knew that the map was going to take place in Portugal and that it it would be a Push type map, the new game mode exclusive to Overwatch 2.

However, we now know of new elements of the map, these are however mainly aesthetic and do not necessarily allow us to give an opinion on the feeling of the terrain once in play.

Esperanca joins a list of new maps already announced, among which we can mention New Queen Street in Toronto, Midtown in New York, Paraiso in Rio de Janeiro, Circuit Royal in Monaco, Colosseo in Rome, as well as two other new maps that will will take place respectively in India and Gothenburg in Sweden.

This new selection of cards will be added to those already from the first opus.it will however be necessary to remove Hanamura and the Temple of Anubis which will only be present outside of the classic game mode.

As a reminder, the output ofOverwatch 2 is scheduled for October 4, 2022, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series and Nintendo Switch.
