Since its release last month, Overwatch 2 hasn’t ceased to be talked about. Between various bugs, hiccups at startup and others, Blizzard Entertainment’s production has been repeatedly criticized by players unhappy for not being able to make the most of their online experience. Despite everything, this second opus full of novelties exploded the player records on the license, more than 35 million registered users in one month. A success that can be explained in particular by the transition to free-to-play video game production, which is financed by various in-game purchases.
But while Overwatch 2 announced the return today of Mei after some bugs, not everything seems to have gone as planned for the Blizzard teams…
Mei barely arrived, already gone
At the beginning of November, an official OW2 post announced the bad news: after being quickly available after the release of the second opus, Mei has been disabled due to bugs around her Ice Wall which allowed players to reach points on the map that were supposedly inaccessible during their games, including in ranked. Thus, Blizzard revealed a return date for the mythical legend of the license: on November 15 alongside a patch.
Still a little patience…
It was yesterday that the Blizzard teams announced in disaster the postponement of the famous patch which was to accompany the return of Mei. According to the company, a “critical issue” has prevented them from properly implementing this next update.
Mei players can be reassured, however, the wait will soon end with the arrival of the patch in question announced for November 17 around 8 p.m. (Paris time). Who knows, maybe this time, the heroine will finally take part in the fight?
