While the first closed beta of Overwatch 2 allowed developers to have many feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of the PvP part, a multitude of players were waiting to learn more about the FPS and in particular its release. . We now have one, as it has been confirmed that the game will be coming to Early Access.
Finally a release date for Overwatch 2
Blizzard has therefore formalized the release of Overwatch 2, for this October 4, 2022 on all platforms, namely PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Series and Nintendo Switch. The other surprise is that it will arrive in free-to-playas rumors suggested shortly before the launch of the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, the moment the studio chose to make this announcement.
Since Overwatch 2 will arrive in Early Access, not all content will be available during this release. Players will only be able to enjoy the PvP part, the one that was tested during the beta this spring. Later we will host the PvE part, but we don’t know when yet. Moreover, Blizzard will tell us more about Overwatch 2 this June 16, during a dedicated steam.
