Jon Spector, Vice President of Blizzardspoke with Eurogamer and indicates that Overwatch servers will be shut down on October 2, 27 hours before the launch of Overwatch 2. We will give current Overwatch players the option to download Overwatch 2 shortly before launch, if they want to pre-download it. Jon Spector clarifies that if you already have Overwatch, you will be offered a simple update to Overwatch 2. If you don’t have the game, its sequel will be a reminder free-to-play and will be available for download at Blizzard Battle.netthe Playstation Storethe Microsoft Store or theeShop.
