OVHcloud inaugurated its quantum computer

(Boursier.com) — OVHcloud , the European cloud leader, brought together the European cloud ecosystem in Croix to inaugurate the first quantum computer installed at the heart of a European cloud service provider. At a time when European countries aspire to be the spearheads of innovation and to regain control of their future by preserving their sovereignty and upholding their values, OVHcloud intends to fully play its role as a technological leader by investing in state of the art solutions to support Europe’s strategic autonomy.

In the presence of Ms. Sylvie Retailleau, Minister of Higher Education and Research, Ms. Marina Ferrari, Secretary of State for Digital Affairs, and Mr. Thomas Skordas, Deputy Director General of DG CNCET of the European Commission, the event celebrates the start-up of Quandela’s MosaiQ quantum computer in one of OVHcloud’s data centers. It thus foreshadows the future of innovation in Europe by drawing on the numerous talents and technologies available locally.

Preparing for the future of the cloud with quantum computing
Demonstrating unwavering support for innovation, OVHcloud acquired the Quandela quantum computer from March 2023, sending a clear message of support to the entire quantum ecosystem in accordance with the “I choose” program. French Tech”.

The Group has long been committed to developing and promoting a solid ecosystem of players united by common values ​​around innovation, data protection and openness. As the first computer to leave the Quandela factories, the MosaiQ system was delivered at the end of 2023 to the OVHcloud data center for subsequent installation and configuration. It now joins the few quantum computers already available in the cloud.
