  • OxygenOS 13 is the new software from OnePlus.
  • This is based on Android 13.
  • After the closed beta, the open test phase on the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro is now beginning.

OnePlus is currently putting the finishing touches on its own version of Android 13. This is called OxygenOS 13 and can now also be tried out on the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro as part of a public beta test.

Unfortunately, the distribution of the beta version is currently still limited to North America and India, but according to OnePlus you should also be able to access it in this country in the near future. According to a report by GSMArena, there are still some problems with the beta, which is why we recommend waiting with the installation anyway.

Examples of problems include flashlight errors or calls not showing up on the smartphone. In addition, more errors will appear with great certainty, but that’s exactly what a beta is intended for.

If you still want to test the beta as soon as it is available in Germany, OnePlus has published detailed instructions in its own forum. However, OnePlus will not pay for any damage or the like, so use it at your own risk.
