2024 - Ozark: will there be a season 5?

Return to the Ozarks this Friday April 29 with the arrival on Netflix of the second part of season 4 ofOzark. Good news that will however be short-lived since no, ozark will not return for a season 5. Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams’ Netflix series comes to an end with the last seven episodes of season 4 which were posted online this April 29 and it is a final point that will thus be put to Marty Byrde’s story at the end from episode 14 of season 4. Difficult for fans to envision a future without season 5 ofozarkhowever, it should be noted thata series that knows how to stop is a well-structured series (generally) that favors the story over the possible benefits it can generate.

In the manner of breaking Bad of Vince Gilligan to which she is often compared, ozark was a series with a destiny already mapped out since the first season, and this well thought-out structure is felt throughout the viewing. Sustained rhythm, intrigues that follow one another… The main strings have been thought out and this is one of the reasons why fans expect a neat conclusion, whether the outcome for the Byrde family is relatively happy – as much as it can be – or downright tragic. Because the trailer for the end of Ozark unveiled several weeks ago tease tense episodes and in which, once is not custom, Marty, Wendy and their children will have to face several enemies.

Ozark season 4 is the last

Beyond the cartel and all the trouble it brings them, two big question marks arise when resuming season 4 ofozark. Firstly the car accident which opened the first episode of Season 4 after which characters might die – but still hasn’t happened in the first part of the final season. And on the other hand the risk that could represent yet another confrontation between Ruth and Marty. The young woman has lost everything and therefore becomes even more unpredictable than she already was. Enough to raise the tension crescendo in the seven final episodes of the series, to be found from April 29 on Netflix.
