Ozzy Osbourne took to Instagram after undergoing “life-changing” surgery. He was able to leave the hospital.

Ozzy Osbourne (73) apparently survived a major operation well. The musician reported back on Instagram. There he wrote: “I am now out of the hospital and at home and recovering well.” The Black Sabbath star added, “I undoubtedly feel the love and support from all my fans and I send a big thank you to everyone for their thoughts, prayers and well wishes during my recovery.”

Ozzy Osbourne’s wife Sharon (69) had previously given an update after the procedure in an Instagram story: “Ozzy is fine and on the mend!” She wrote. The love of his fans means “the world” to the 73-year-old rocker. In addition, Sharon Osbourne, on behalf of her family, “thanked you from the bottom of my heart for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery.”

Surgery determines “the rest of his life”

Speaking on The Talk, Sharon Osbourne said the surgery would “really define the rest of his life.” In early January 2020, the couple jointly announced that the former Black Sabbath singer had Parkinson’s disease. The musician only fell ill with Covid-19 in April.

In May, Ozzy Osbourne had in an interview with “Classic Rock” magazine talked about his quad bike accident in 2003 and that he hasn’t been able to walk properly ever since. “I’m just waiting for another operation on my neck. […] I have physical therapy every morning. I’m doing a little better, but not nearly as much as I would like,” said the singer.
