Ironwood Studiosfounded by former members of Sucker Punch Productions, Insomniac Games, Irrational, Klei, 343 Industries, Bungie, Activision And Oculushad unveiled during the PlayStation State of Play from September 2022 Pacific Drive, an intriguing car survival game.
The title was supposed to arrive at the end of 2023 on PC and PlayStation 5, but a year after its announcement and as the release period approaches, the studio gives very bad news: Pacific Drive will not be released in 2023, but in early 2024. As always, the studio explains that it needs a little more time to perfect its game, without overloading the development teams, and it is to its credit. As summer draws to a close, we’d like to share that Pacific Drive is shifting its release to early 2024. This decision gives us the opportunity to make Pacific Drive better, while prioritizing the health of our team.
As many know, we’ve been working hard to bring this idea to life for some time, and every day adds even more to a game we’re all proud of. In this home stretch though, it’s important for us to stay true to ourselves and not compromise on the welfare of the team.
As our community has grown, the support and enthusiasm everyone has shown has been incredible and we can’t wait for everyone to take their own path in the Zone. Everyone here at Ironwood really appreciates your patience and understanding.

The bad news is that we will have to wait a few more months before we get our hands on Pacific Drive. The good news is that developers will be able to finish their game without pressure, and offer a quality experience from launch.
