When it comes to her summer vacation, Palina Rojinski makes spontaneous decisions. A holiday in the mountains is also planned.

For Palina Rojinski, 38, there is a premiere this year: The presenter and actress will spend her summer vacation for the first time in the mountains, as the 38-year-old tells us at a Magnum summer event in Berlin. Among the guests were Riccardo Simonetti, Anna Ermakova, Sharon Battiste and Iris Mareike Steen.

Matching the names of the newly introduced Magnum Double Starchaser and Sunlover ice cream flavors: the evening started right on time for sunset and thanks to an immersive video and sound installation, there was even a journey to the stars to be seen. The stars seem to promise a lot of good mood for this summer, predicted the amateur astrologer Rojinski. “Ultimately, the sun is also a star that gives us summer and a good mood with its portion of light,” the 38-year-old continues. Rojinski was also present at the start of the campaign in Cannes.

You could already ring in the summer a little in Cannes. What vacation plans do you have for this year?

Rojinski: This summer I will spend a week in the mountains for the first time. Otherwise it’s more my winter destination. I’m looking forward to the blooming nature and landscape. But the Mediterranean Sea is still very big on my summer calendar. I’m just not sure yet if it will be southern France or Italy this year. I like to make relatively spontaneous decisions.

What do you like to drink and eat in summer?

Rojinski: Good, fresh, light food always goes well with summer. I love fresh vegetables and grilled fish when it’s warm. And ice cream for dessert.

What are your favorite varieties/combinations?

Rojinski: I like it best when it’s fresh and fruity. Cocos and mango, for example, is a great combo.

Last year you published your own astrology book, Follow Your Stars. Many people are in the best of moods in summer. Can this also have astrological reasons?

Rojinski: Our starry sky can definitely have an impact on our well-being, just think of sleep disorders when there is a full moon. And ultimately, the sun is also a star that gives us the summer and a good mood with its portion of light.

When and how did you discover your love for astrology?

Rojinski: That was many years ago. There wasn’t just one moment, it was more of a gradual process in which I realized that many topics and situations in my life corresponded with the stars. I really enjoy astrology too.

The astrology topic is currently booming, and many stars swear by it. Why do many people see this as an answer, even though it is not scientifically verifiable?

Rojinski: I think the stars can give you a hold and be an opportunity to recognize and work on your very own inner issues. They are a gateway into the emotional world and can help to understand oneself and others better. But they happen anyway, you don’t have to believe in them and you don’t have to follow them if you don’t want to. Astrology is an offer that you may or may not accept. I’m not dogmatic and don’t want to force anyone to be happy.

Are you at peace with yourself or do you also struggle with self-doubt from time to time?

Rojinski: Of course, like everyone else, I occasionally have self-doubts. I’ve only learned as I’ve gotten older that there are unfounded self-doubts that are simply born out of a fear of failure and those that might tell you that what you’re walking on isn’t the right path. These are often doubts in general. And this is where my strategy really is always to go with my gut feeling. No matter how good something sounds, if your gut isn’t thrilled, don’t just rush in blindly.

What projects do you have next?

Rojinski: I am currently working on two acting projects and would also like to start my next book.
