Returning to the Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee sextape scandal in the 1990s, the Pam & Tommy series is currently broadcast on Disney+ in France. Three episodes are already available and the second chapter marked the spirits with a sacred sequence.
Before deciding to marry the Baywatch star, the Mötley Crüe drummer converses under ecstasy with his penis to find out if Pamela Anderson is the right one and if he’s in love with her. And the sequence shows the rockstar talking with a moving and talking machine.
Two dubbing stars for the penis voice
If this scene may surprise, it nevertheless has a very precise origin. As reminded varietyit is an adaptation of a passage from Tommy Lee’s autobiographical book Tommyland published in 2005.
In the original version, it is the dubbing actor Jason Mantzoukas, known in particular for vocally embodying Jay Bilzerian in Big Mouth on Netflix and Rex Splode in Invincible on Amazon Prime Video. He also starred in The Good Place and Brooklyn Nine Nine.
As for the French version, the experts will surely have recognized the voice of Cartman from South Park or that of Samsagace in The Lord of the Rings. They are dubbing actor Christophe Lemoine, the regular French voice of American actors Josh Gad, Sean Astin and Paul Walter Hauser, as well as one of the voices of Jack Black.
