New job for Pamela Anderson: The “Baywatch” mermaid got a musical role on Broadway. She will make her debut in April.
Broadway welcomes a new celebrity to its ensemble: “Baywatch” mermaid Pamela Anderson (54) will make her debut in the musical “Chicago” next month. This was announced on Instagram, among other places. She will play Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her lover after he threatens to leave her.
According to a statement the play, starring Anderson, will be on stage at the Ambassador Theater in New York City from April 12 to June 5. “I’ve always been a huge fan of the work of Bob Fosse and Gwen Verdon. […] Playing Roxie Hart is a dream come true,” the actress said.
