Pampas grass: decorative trend for every home

Long stem and fluffy end: pampas grass is the latest interior trend. This is how the elegant plant is skillfully staged.

There is probably no decoration shop that can currently avoid the trend of pampas grass. The thin, green stalks with their large, feather-shaped panicles are absolutely hip. After the grass could not be missing especially at weddings, the plant now makes it into the living room at home. Naturally dried, the plant is an eye-catcher for any interior.

The following applies to styling: less is more

In contrast to the usual houseplants, the pampas grass does not convince with rich green and colored flowers. The fluffy look of the grasses provides something certain instead. As simple and elegant as the pampas grass shows, it is best to put it in the limelight: the long grasses come into their own when they can be found in a large, simple vase. Vases in natural tones form an ideal combination with the monotonous grasses. Whether made of glass, ceramics or porcelain is up to the individual taste. It can be a tall, slim vase, as the pampas grass is usually also tall and fine.

The pampas grass can safely dispense with other plants in the vessel. The grasses look most stylish when about five to ten pieces of them easily find their place in the vase. Additional green grass or flowers would be too much of a good thing.

Where is the ideal place for the trend plant?

If you opt for tall pampas grass in a large vase, you can place the trend plant on the floor, for example in a corner next to the sofa or in the bedroom next to the wardrobe. No matter whether small or large plants: the decoration should have room to breathe. If there are too many objects in the vicinity, it will not ignite.

If you opt for the shorter plant with a height of up to 40 centimeters, you can place it on shelves or tables. The simple vase with pampas grass with one or two books on one side and a scented candle or decorative figure on the other forms an optimal correlation. Ideally, the interior pieces are in the same style and color.
