Panagiota Petridou has made a secret of her pregnancy. She’s just as taciturn about details about her baby. On Instagram, the presenter now also explains why.
Panagiota Petridou, 42, surprised her fans with the birth of her child in February this year. The moderator of the Vox series “Offer Rostlaube, sucht Traumauto” kept her growing belly secret until the birth of her child.
Panagiota Petridou “quietly and secretly became a mom”
In a video on Instagram the moderator documented the past few months in quick succession. “I quietly and secretly became a mom in February,” Petridou commented on the clip. “Hardly anyone noticed because I only had a small stomach.” The pregnancy is a private experience for her, “but I have now briefly summarized it for you. We are very much looking forward to the addition to the family and are healthy and happy.” The new mom did not announce more.
The name of their “Mini Cooperino” remains a secret
On the popular social media platform, she now engages in a question-and-answer session with her fans and reveals a few details about her mini-me. Someone wants to know what your “Mini Cooperino” is doing. A nickname for the offspring, based on Panagiota’s passion: cars. For years she was Germany’s most successful car saleswoman at BMW until she was hired by VOX as a presenter. The 42-year-old answers the question about her bundle of joy with a sleeping Snoopy emoticon.

As for the gender and name of her baby, the new mom is closed. When asked “What’s your Mini Cooper really called?” she replies with the nickname “Mini Cooperino” again.

That’s why the presenter won’t show her baby
Not only the name remains a secret, the face of the offspring also remains under decision, as she explains in her story. “Are you going to show your child, or do you keep them out of the public eye altogether?” A fan wants to know. “Nope, don’t want to show it,” clarifies Panagiota Petridou. The explanation follows promptly: “I want to protect my private life.”

Insights into everyday mom life
And how is everyday life with a baby? The new mom gave a first glimpse a few days ago on Instagram. So she wrote to a video, which shows her back at work: “Mom has been for ten weeks now. Yesterday was the first photo shoot for my new show. It was so much fun to be back on the air.” The time as a mother is exciting and she really enjoys “being a mom”. But she was also “just so grateful to have a job that I just love”.
