Parallels Toolbox is a must-have tool for all PC and Mac users

With the age of do-it-all apps, you’d think the days of toolkits were over.

Parallels and its Parallels Toolbox software, however, have very good arguments to prove otherwise. With, in addition, regular updates for years, this software suite has only improved.

What is Parallels Toolbox?

It’s a suite of over 30 Mac and Windows utilities that each perform a single task, but brilliantly.

The idea behind Parallels Toolbox is to allow “everyone to take full advantage of their Mac or PC, without having to know complicated system settings“.

And the promise is kept.

One of the undeniable arguments in favor of installing Parallels Toolbox is the tool’s ability to replace a whole bunch of different applications. Whether it’s creating a barcode, a GIF, freeing up RAM, recording the screen, unzipping files or a whole host of other things, it’s possible to do it all from a single software.

No questionable downloads, no need to use a dodgy online service and, best of all, it’s all accessible through a single subscription.

Overview of tools

We’re not going to detail all the different tools offered in Parallels Toolbox — there are too many — but here are a few that can be useful in everyday life:

  • Save an area : Record a section of the screen and save it to a video file.

  • Create a GIF : Take a video and convert it (part or all) into an animated GIF.

  • Download a video : Download videos from Facebook, YouTube, Vimeo and other sites with one click.

  • Energy saver : Convenient to extend battery life with one click.

  • Transform text : this tool allows you to transform the case of a text: Title, lowercase, CamelCase or even RANDOM CASE.

  • Verify checksum : generate and compare the checksum of the downloaded files to verify that they have not been modified.
