Tanguy de La Forest won his first Paralympic championship title by winning the final of the 10-metre prone rifle shooting. A gold medal after a silver medal he won in the 10-metre standing rifle shooting.

Frenchman Tanguy de La Forest won his first Paralympic title on Sunday by winning the 10-metre prone rifle shooting final in the SH2 category on Sunday in Châteauroux.

Second medal for Tanguy de La Forest

This is France’s 5th title in these Games, obtained a few seconds after that of Marie Patouillet in para-cycling on the track. In Tanguy de La Forest’s SH2 category, the disability concerns the upper limb(s). The use of a support is then necessary to support the weight of the rifle. The competition is mixed.

Ahead after the first salvos, the 46-year-old Breton then fought a great battle against the Brazilian Alexandre Galgani, before breaking away in the final shots. The Breton had already come close to the gold medal on Friday, where he finished in silver in the 10-meter standing rifle shooting.
