Paramount +: date, offer, price… we tell you everything about the new streaming platform

A new player will make his arrival in the audiovisual landscape. Paramount+ will join the offer of streaming platforms from December 1st.

We eagerly awaited his arrival in France. This will be effective from December 1, 2022. The announcement was made yesterday in Cannes during MIPCOM (the international audiovisual content market). The streaming platform – which intends to compete with Netflix, Disney+ or even Prime Video – will offer an extensive catalog made up of films and series that it produces (including the Mission Impossible sagas, The Godfather, Star Trek, Transformers, Indiana Jones, etc.). But also from its partner channels including Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon and Showtime.

Paramount+ will also offer originals, unpublished in France. Subscribers will be able to discover unexplored planets in Star Trek: Strange New World and the other series derived from its flagship SF franchise, fight alongside werewolves in the movie Teen Wolf, find Bryan Cranston in season 2 of Your Honor, see Sylvester Stallone as mob boss in Tulsa King and having a good time the duo Helen Mirren / Harrison Ford in 1923.

It will also offer three French productions, which were announced yesterday: Mask: Marie Antoinette serial killer, a fantasy horror thriller for young adults based on the eponymous novel, the adaptation of Signal by Maxim Chattam and Le Stade, a documentary series on the Stade Toulousain rugby team

This new streaming platform promises to be a major competitor in France where offers are already plentiful. It will be accessible via internet and mobile and via TV services from Apple, Amazon, Google and Roku. On the budget side, it will cost 7.99 euros per month. Good news if you are already subscribed to Canal+ Ciné Séries. A partnership signed between Paramount+ and the encrypted channel will allow you to take advantage of the offer… at no additional cost.
