Paramount+ unveils the first trailer for Players, an esports comedy series

PLAYERS, a comic documentary series on competitive League of Legends is revealed through a trailer. Paramount+ also reveals a release date, June 16.

Several years ago, Paramount+ announced the development ofa comedy documentary style series on the theme of League of Legends and esports. This Monday, we were finally able to discover a first trailer for this series which will be called PLAYERS and who will come out June 16 next.

A little in the style of The Office which is a very humorous documentary type series and follows the employees of an American company, PLAYERS will follow the adventures of a professional League of Legends team. Obviously, this team is totally fictitious and will be centered on the adventures of Team Fugitivemade of 27 year veterans who will be forced to recruit a 17-year-old rookie, “Organizm”, to achieve their goal, win a first LCS title. Throughout the episodes, we can discover the dramatic stories that players have to deal with as well as all the problems that this team has to face.

If we do not yet know the quality of this series, we know that it has been directed by Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault, creators ofAmerican Vandal. We eagerly await the premiere of PLAYERS, while the official trailer was released on Monday and you can watch it below. As a reminder, it will therefore be broadcast on Paramount + while we do not yet know if it will be broadcast in France.
