While professionals review applications, Parcoursup offers a training site intended to help prepare for the admissions phase. Candidates will be able to respond to training more easily.
Since April 3, 2024 and until May 30, candidates for training and courses available on Parcoursup have started or will receive the responses to the training courses they requested. From May 30, these candidates will have to respond to the proposals they have in their hands: one or more, everything will depend on the feedback provided by the platform and the initial number of wishes. To best help pupils, students and parents respond to training, a training site has just been launched. Clubic explains how it works.
How does the procedure for responding to admission offers work?
The training site at the admission phase allows you to test how the candidate will respond to the training offered. The idea is therefore to show him how the process works, so that he is ready on the famous big day. We have taken charge of the training site, and indeed, you experience a real situation.
On the site, you will access a fictitious folder. Training begins on the first day of the admission phase, namely May 30. The site can for example assume that the candidate has 3 proposals awaiting response, 6 wishes pending and 2 wishes refused by training courses which did not accept the file.
As for rejected wishes, there is nothing to be done. For pending wishes, there are two possibilities: either wait, as their name suggests, or “give up”, which will then reduce the waiting list. Then there remains the last case, that of the propositions to which you must respond.
The proposal validation process explained step-by-step
If you have one or more admission offers on your Parcoursup space, the response still requires a few clicks, but take care to react before the imposed deadline.
If you click “reply” on one of the suggestions, three choices are available to you. You can refuse the proposal, which does not impact the other wishes and proposals. You can accept the proposal and maintain certain other wishes, specifying one by one those which you wish to “maintain” and those for which you wish to “renounce”. Interestingly, when deciding on the pending wishes that you wish to maintain, the platform tells you your position in the waiting list.
The last step then consists of confirming the choice(s), and working hard in the final stretch before the baccalaureate, the results of which will fall this year on Monday July 8.
The 6 things you need to know to respond well to the training offered
You can only accept one admission offer at a time. But you still need to answer each one. So be sure of yourself.
If you accept an admission offer definitively, you de facto renounce all your pending wishes.
To keep your wishes pending, you must indicate that they correspond to training courses that you prefer, while accepting an admission offer.
If you don’t respond to an admissions offer on time, you lose it.
If you prefer wishes that are still pending, you must send, in the days following the non-response, a message to indicate that you wish to keep them, via the “Contact” section.
If a training course that you have accepted notices that you have not registered within the posted deadlines, you may lose your place.
