Russian schools celebrate pedophile murderer as a hero

Nikita Semyanov has been abusing underage girls for years. In 2021, the Russian kills his father-in-law and is sentenced to long prison. Just a year later, the murderer was released. Today he appears in schools in front of children as a “hero of special operations.”

Hair-raising stories about serious criminals who were pardoned for their work in Ukraine repeatedly cause a stir in Russia. The case of Nikita Semyanov is no exception. The man accused by several women of sexual abuse of children was sentenced to nine years in a penal colony in 2022 for the murder of his father-in-law. Just a year later, he was pardoned by Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin and sent to Ukraine. Semyanov is now back in his hometown of Novosibirsk – where he appears in schools as a “guest of honor” and carries out propaganda for the “special operation”.

His ex-wife Polina wrote about Semyanov’s return on vk.com, the Russian equivalent of Facebook. Russian media then reported on the case, citing the woman and several acquaintances of the couple.

Accordingly, Semyanov killed his father-in-law in a dispute in 2021. Polina Semyanova wrote in her post that he strangled her father first. When he no longer showed any signs of life, Semyanov put a plastic bag over the older man’s head and wrapped a wire around his neck to make sure he was dead. He buried the body in the foundation of his house. “While my father was missing, Nikita Semyanov lived quietly in the house in whose foundation my father was buried, even took part in his search and expressed his condolences to my family,” Semyanova wrote in her post.

“When she was 13 and he was 21, they slept together for the first time”

Like the independent news portal “Sibir.Realii” reported, Polina was ten years old when she met her future husband. Accordingly, Semyanov worked at her school and was 18 at the time. “When she was 13 and he was 21, they slept together for the first time,” a friend of Polina tells “Sibir.Realii”. When Polina was 15, they moved in together. At 17 she gave birth to a daughter. “And the whole time he regularly beat her, humiliated her and raped her in front of strangers, including minors,” says the woman, who wished to remain anonymous.

This information is confirmed by another woman who, in her own words, once attended a party in Semyanov’s house as a 13-year-old with a friend of the same age. “First he offered us strong alcohol, then he undressed Polina in front of us and forced her to have sex with him.” The man then tried to persuade the two 13-year-olds to join in. “Luckily I said no,” explains the woman.

Another woman tells “Sibir.Realii” that she personally knows several girls who were “seduced” by Semyanov when they were 13 to 14 years old. “They were in love with him in a childish way,” she explained. “He seduced schoolgirls while giving them guitar lessons. At the school where Polina used to study.”

The school, Lyceum number 9 in Novosibirsk, is now one of several educational institutions in the city, where Semyanov has been honored as a “hero of special operations” in front of children since February occurred. Since the beginning of the Russian war of aggression, schools in Russia have often invited soldiers and mercenaries for propaganda purposes. It happens again and again that these are serious criminals who were pardoned for their service in the war zone in Ukraine.
