As reported France Blue, the Limoges police squad experienced a scene that was to say the least ubiquitous on Monday February 8, 2021. A couple of parents dialed 17, the Police Secours number, to report a big family dispute at their home. And this is a rather unprecedented situation faced by law enforcement agencies. The parents in question called them in order to make their son obey! Indeed, the 15-year-old reportedly refused to clear the table after the meal. Exasperated, they therefore used the ultimate threat that many parents have already considered … without resorting to it seriously. The Limousin patrol still made sure that the family was doing well, once the amazement had passed, before making the parents understand "that it was more of a lack of authority than a problem of the police ". Family violence on the rise since the first confinement

Intervening in the heart of family conflicts has become the daily life of many police officers in France. And even more since the first confinement, which marked a particularly impressive increase in violence against women and children.
