Paris: a man kidnapped and assaulted for a debt of 7000 euros


The victim was reportedly beaten, also sustaining a gunshot near the ear. Five men were arrested.

Last Friday, February 4, a man was released from confinement in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis) by a crew from the anti-crime brigade (BAC) of the 19th arrondissement of Paris. In question according to the elements relayed by The Parisian , a debt of 7000 euros not reimbursed. At the end of the intervention, five men were arrested, according to the daily.

The police would have received the call for help from the victim, and dispatched the crew of the BAC rue Emile-Reynaud, in Paris. On the spot, the police would first have come across two individuals, one of whom was wearing a hood, boarding a Mercedes, and next to a group of people in front of a student residence: the security guard of the building , a woman and three men. One of them, visibly frightened, was the author of the call for help.

Beaten by a dozen individuals

To the police, the latter recounts having been kidnapped by men to repay a debt of 7000 euros. The attackers would have taken him to an underground car park in Montreuil, where he would have been beaten by a dozen individuals, receiving blows from the butt of the jaw, the groin, the ribs. A shot was also reportedly fired next to his ear.

To get out of it, the victim would have offered to be taken to his girlfriend, in order to collect the funds. He would have taken the opportunity to alert the police, who were able to take charge of him, but also arrest a total of five of the alleged kidnappers. The latter, from Montreuil, were placed in police custody.
