A man was thrown into the Seine overnight from Thursday to Friday in the center of Paris following a fight, and his vital prognosis is engaged, we learned from a police source.
The facts took place shortly before 3 a.m., at the corner of the Quai des Orfèvres and the Pont Saint-Michel, in the 4th arrondissement of Paris, we continued.
A brawl breaks out after a robbery
According to another police source, the theft of a bag was the cause of the fight. Le Figaro indicates that two thieves would have seized the bag of a passer-by and that this one would have pursued them to the banks. This is where a brawl allegedly took place between the three men. The victim allegedly hit his head violently, before being thrown by the two attackers into the Seine.
The two attackers were arrested near the scene of the fight. According to the Paris prosecutor’s office, they are two men aged 20 and 27. They were taken into custody for “attempted murder”.
The vital prognosis of the victim, aged 28, was engaged at the time of the intervention of the river brigade and firefighters.
