Paris: an investigation opened after obtaining confidential information by a fake policeman


A man would have obtained this information from police stations throughout France.

An investigation was opened in Paris after a man disseminated on the internet confidential information on the judicial past of personalities, recovered from police stations by posing as a police officer, AFP learned on Friday July 29 from the prosecutor’s office in Paris. Paris, confirming information from the Actu17 site.

The preliminary investigation was opened for usurpation of the quality of police officer, collection and conservation of personal data and disclosure of this data, specified the parquet floor requested by AFP. The investigations were entrusted to the Personal Crime Brigade (BRDP) and the Cybercrime Brigade (BL2C).

The recordings of conversations between this man – with a modified voice – and the police who send him details of the criminal records of influencers, rappers, reality TV stars or criminals, were still accessible on a Youtube channel on Friday. According to the Actu17 site, the man obtained information from police stations throughout France, particularly in Paris.
