Paris Hilton spoke about abuse at the boarding school at a hearing in Washington DC and called for reforms.

Paris Hilton (43) continues to campaign against child abuse. On Wednesday (June 26), the hotel heiress testified before a committee of the US House of Representatives on the Capitol in Washington DC and reported on the devastating experiences she had in her youth at a boarding school. The hearing was about the well-being of children in the US foster care system and other youth facilities.

Paris Hilton reports abuse

“When I was 16 years old, I was ripped from my bed in the middle of the night and taken across state lines to the first of four residential facilities,” Hilton told the House Ways and Means Committee.

“For two years, I was force-fed drugs and sexually abused by staff. I was forcibly restrained, stripped naked and placed in solitary confinement,” she continued. She also said her parents were “completely manipulated” by the facilities and had no knowledge of how she was being treated.

Hilton advocated for comprehensive reforms to the system and called for an improvement in standards for youth in the foster care system. “I know first-hand the damage that institutionalization does to youth,” she said. “These programs promise healing, growth and support, but instead I was not allowed to speak, move freely or look out the window for two years.” She wants to be a voice for children whose voices are not heard, said Hilton, who was dressed at the hearing in a glamorous baby blue lace suit with a white collar.

She first made the allegations public in 2020

Paris Hilton has spoken openly about her experiences several times. She first made the allegations against the Provo Canyon School in Utah, which she attended, in September 2020 in her YouTube documentary “This Is Paris”In February 2021, she also testified in court against the facility. In a video for the New York Times In October 2022, she again made serious allegations, accusing, among other things, school employees of sexual abuse.
