Paris Hilton (40, "House of Wax") shares details about her engagement to Carter Reum (40) on her podcast "This is Paris". In a preview, the hotel heiress explains that she had been hoping for it for a long time, but was surprised by the moment. Reum had kidnapped Hilton on a private island under the pretext of celebrating her two birthdays. Once there, on her 40th birthday, he went down on his knees on the beach. "I immediately started shaking and crying because I was so excited," recalls Hilton. The special moment got even better when Reum revealed that her families were on the island to celebrate their engagement.
Paris had already suspected that there would be an application – and was actually expecting it for her one-year-old in December. "When it didn't happen, I didn't say anything, but I was disappointed," said Paris. Reum assured her, however, that it would be special if he asked for her hand.

Further plans for life together are already in place: Hilton wants to keep her name as well as accept Reums, so in future it will be called Paris Hilton-Reum.
