Paris: “I knew I would kill …”, the chilling confessions of a student

Issam S., 25, attacked a student before explaining while in police custody why he committed this act.

The journalists of Parisian have recently reported the terrible events that took place in a university in the sixth arrondissement of Paris on January 25. At the origin of these events, a student, Issam S., aged 25, who attacked another student, Manal, 31, for no apparent reason. Thanks to the documents of the student’s police custody, our colleagues from Le Parisien were able to reveal what happened in Issam’s head when he violently stabbed his classmate in the face. And the confessions of the culprit have something to send shivers down your spine, since he did not hesitate to confide his darkest thoughts.

Facing the policewoman who interrogated him, Issam explained: “I have violent, criminal impulses. I am a danger to society (…). I knew I would kill someone one day. I’ve thought about it before”. Terrifying words of honesty which make it possible to understand, as far as possible, why on January 25 Issam decided to go buy two knives in a supermarket near his university before attacking Manal who, fortunately, got away with it. Why she ? “I was mad at her, because I proposed to her yesterday and because she refused” explained Issam, a simple comrade for Manal, with whom she was never particularly close.

He hopes to be sentenced to life

This marriage proposal made in public was therefore obviously refused and served as a catalyst for the young man’s impulses, who also confided in police custody that he “couldn’t bear to live alone”. After stabbing his victim several times, particularly in the head, Issam surrenders to the police to whom he makes his confession. “This is not scientific or rational reasoning. It’s like an impulse. I was in a state of sadness, anger, mental imbalancedescribed Issam, who also expressed his wish to be sentenced to life for his crime.
