Paris Police 1905 on Canal+: will there be a season 3?

As the broadcast of the thriller “Paris Police 1905” ends this Monday evening, we asked Fabien Nury, the creator, if a sequel was possible.

After 3 weeks of broadcasting, Paris Police 1905 bows out this Monday evening on Canal+ after two episodes full of twists and turns.

A direct sequel to Paris Police 1900, which was offered on the encrypted channel in March 2021, this historical fiction still written by Fabien Nury took place 5 years after the events of season 1 and saw the main characters of the first opus make their comeback. .

If for the moment Canal+ has not yet officially ordered a third burst of episodes, Fabien Nury has always had plans to tell the stories of Inspector Jouin (Jérémie Laheurte), Meg Steinheil (Évelyne Brochu) , Fiersi (Thibaut Evrard) and the prefect Lépine (Marc Barbé) over three seasons.

And just like for the first two seasons of Paris Police, if season 3 there were to be, it would again operate a jump in time.

We have the desire, the subject and the support of Canal”, explained Fabien Nury during a press conference. “From the beginning, we had a plan for three seasons, so we would like to complete the triptych. There will also be a multi-year hiatus, allowing us to lead the characters to one place without overdoing it.

As for the theme of this new chapter, the creator confided that it would mainly revolve around Meg. And given its history, there is a good chance that season 3 takes place in 1908, when Marguerite is accused of having organized the assassination of her husband Adolphe.

She will also spend more than 300 days in Saint-Lazare prison, a place that fascinates Fabien Nury and which would therefore be the ideal subject for a new round of episodes.

All that remains now is to wait for Canal+ to give the green light for a third season. In the meantime, the entirety of Paris Police 1905 is already available on MyCANAL.
