After Bayern, it is at Paris Saint-Germain that the 35-year-old former player, Julian Nagelsmann, could settle down as a coach. Qatar would have chosen the latter as the successor of Christophe Galtier and would still be in full negotiations. Who is this young technician with a still very promising future?

Julian Nagelsmann is one of the most promising coaches of the new generation and could well succeed Christophe Galtier at Paris Saint-Germain. The German technician is only 35 years old, but has already coached three German clubs, including Bayern Munich. He was also on the Munich bench during the Champions League victory over PSG this season. If he was never a great player, on the other hand Nagelsmann broke records for precocity as a technician.

“A young coach who has a lot of convictions”

He became the youngest manager in the German league at just 28 with Hoffenheim, but that’s not all. Julian Nagelsmann is also the youngest manager in history to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League with Leipzig. A profile that is very popular with former PSG player and European consultant, Jimmy Algerino. “He’s a young coach who has a lot of convictions, so that’s very interesting, because it’s true that for the past two years, the identity of Paris-Saint-Germain’s game has been absent.”

The very likely next Parisian club coach is indeed, like his mentor Thomas Tuchel (former PSG coach and currently in Munich), is keen on tactics and particularly appreciates attacking play. The German coach could be accompanied in his Parisian adventure by a legend, a certain Thierry Henry.
