passengers on a ride get stuck upside down for 30 minutes (VIDEO)

This Saturday, September 23, 2023, a ride at Canada’s Wonderland amusement park broke down mid-ride, leaving the people on board stuck upside down for nearly thirty minutes! An accident which fortunately caused more fear than harm.

Unfortunately ride accidents are not that rare and when they do occur they can be real disasters, leading to death for some. This was also the case this summer for a 17-year-old teenager who lost his life after being thrown against a metal pole on the Adrenaline attraction at Luna Park. This Saturday, September 23, 2023, it was in an amusement park located in the suburbs of Toronto called Canada’s Wonderland which suffered from a mechanical problem causing one of its rides to be blocked for more than thirty minutes!

The attraction in question? The Lumberjack, a 21 meter high fixed ride that simply stopped working while it was in full swing around 10:40 p.m. Passengers on the attraction had to remain stranded for nearly 25 minutes the head upside-down. A catastrophic situation relayed on social networks after the incident in question was filmed by people present on site. We also see several panicked passengers calling for help. Despite the immediate intervention of maintenance staff, they took nearly 25 minutes (11:5 p.m.) to bring down all the summer visitors stuck in the attraction.

The poignant testimony of two children present in the attraction

A first aid team was waiting for passengers when they disembarked to check their state of health. “ Two guests reported chest pain and were treated at the park health center before being released without needing further medical attention“, we can read in the press release from Canada’s Wonderland park. A brother and sister aged 11 and 15, Spencer and Mackenzie, who were stuck on the ride, testified to theCBC News. If they didn’t understand right away that the attraction had a problem, it was when the ambulances arrived that they realized something serious was happening: “I was thinking: when are we going to go down? Will we ever make it down?» testifies Spencer.

A shocking experience for the little girl who rode a carousel for the first time: “I’m just wondering, next time I go to Canada’s Wonderland, will I do these big rides? Because now I’m afraid to go» she confides to the media.
