ntv mourns Katja Dofel

The stock market journalist Katja Dofel is dead. She reported for many years as a reporter for ntv and ntv.de from the trading floor in Frankfurt and conducted numerous interviews.
Last Thursday, our long-time colleague Katja Dofel died in Frankfurt after a serious illness at the age of 52. Katja was a passionate stock exchange reporter and reported for us from April 2000 until the end of 2022 from the ntv stock exchange studio in Frankfurt. Before that she had worked for several years directly on the New York floor as a correspondent, including for ntv.
Her dedication and tireless commitment to the topic of business and the stock market not only impressed her colleagues, but also the viewers. In the spring, Katja made a new start at the Cologne asset management company Flossbach von Storch.
We mourn the loss of a tireless journalist and friend. Our thoughts are with your relatives. “Remember her as you knew her,” her family wrote on Linkedin. “Full of life and colourful, always ‘bullish’ for the future and committed to the stock market and finance.”
