V-BUCKS PURCHASED ON PLAYSTATION ARE ADDED TO FORTNITE’S SHARED WALLET

As of Update 20.40, V-Bucks purchased on PlayStation can be used on all other Fortnite Shared Wallet compatible platforms (PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Android and cloud services). Check out our recent Fortnite Shared Wallet article to learn more.

LATENCY REDUCTION ON PLAYSTATION 5 AND XBOX SERIES X|S

We’ve improved performance on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S to display at 60 frames per second. Players can now reduce keystroke latency by choosing “Low Control Latency Mode” in Settings (Settings > Game > Additional Game Options). Low latency command mode is enabled by default.

PLAYSTATION 5 – 120 FPS MODE ACTIVATION CHANGE IN FORTNITE

It is now easier for PS5 players to enable 120 FPS mode in Fortnite.

For this, players no longer need to go to the console settings. Instead, 120 IPS mode can be enabled as follows:

  1. In Fortnite, open the settings from the sidebar.
  2. Select Graphics.
  3. Set the 120 fps mode on Yes.
  4. Select Apply.

Remark : the 120 FPS option will not appear if your TV or display device is incompatible with 120 FPS.

MIDDLE EAST SERVER CHANGE

Options for Middle Eastern servers have changed. To ensure that all players in the region can play in the best conditions, this setting is again set to Auto if you had manually chosen the Middle East as the region.

This means that some players who normally connect on Middle Eastern servers will now connect in Europe or Asia. For those who participate in the competitions, be sure to check the schedules in the Competition tab to find out what time the cups start.

Players can return to the Middle East region if they wish, but doing so is likely to result in high ping.

NOTES ON COMPETITIVE MODES

  • The Arena Fill option has been enabled.
  • Weapons reintroduced in Detour Battle Week are not available in Competitive Modes.
  • The winner of the choice between the protective bubble and the balloon will not be available in competitive modes.

MAJOR BUGS FIXES

  • Fixed an issue that caused some players to not receive social notifications if they were in a party match with another player.
  • Fixed an issue that caused the Anvil Missile Launcher UI to not display.”
