The Star Wars universe is partially returning to Fortnite Battle Royale with the 21.10 update, which also brings other new features.
On this Tuesday, June 21, 2022, you will be able to play again with Darth Vader’s lightsaber and the Stormtroopers’ E-11 blaster rifles. In addition to this, Epic Games has decided to add new new styles in the Battle Pass as well as a new group search functionality.

DARK VADER’S LIGHTSABER – SHOW YOUR STRENGTH
Darth Vader has begun his invasion of the island. Each game, he lands with Stormtroopers at a specific location on the island. Defeat Darth Vader and get his lightsaber! With the darth vader lightsaberyou can block enemy fire, throw it at your opponents like a boomerang and, of course, hit them directly.
In addition to Stormtroopers, E-11 blaster rifles are back ! Find E-11 blaster rifles in imperial chests at Darth Vader’s landing sites. You can also find them on the Stormtroopers you eliminate.
CHAPTER 3 – SEASON 3 SUPER LEVEL STYLES
You are a golden person. In the Bonus Rewards section of the Battle Pass tab, additional styles are available for players who have passed level 100. With Update 21.10, this season’s super level styles have been added! Reach Level 140 in Chapter 3 – Season 3 to start unlocking styles dimensional platinum, blue lapis and blazing gold for Malik, Evie, Adira, Sabina and the Stormwalker.
SOCIAL LABELS AND GROUP SEARCH
Show how you play Fortnite! This new option allows you to add to your profile up to three social labels that other players can see. The labels indicate, for example, your game mode preferred (2v2, Deathrun, General Battle, etc.), thevibe that you prefer (casual, without microphone, with microphone, etc.) and your event competitive favorite (Cosmetic Cup, Cup of Success, Flash Cup, etc.). We’ll also recommend Fortnite experiences based on your social tags.
To add social tags to your profile, click your profile picture in the sidebar, then choose +Add tag. As soon as you have at least one tag, you will be able to send and receive invitations from players with the same tag (in your region). These invitations can be sent from the new section Group search from the sidebar. This is Fortnite’s built-in party search feature, which allows you to easily find like-minded parties in your area.
In this section, you must activate the group search in order to be able to send and receive player invitations. You can disable group search at any time. Once deactivated, you no longer receive invitations and all your sent invitations disappear. When playing in Duos, Trios, or Squads, Team Finder is optional and the old invite system still works.
Social tags and group search are currently in the testing phase. These features will gradually be made available to all players based on test results.
REALITY SHRUB BALANCING
We have changed the number of fruits the tree can bear depending on its rarity. For each growth cycle, the reality tree can now carry:
- 3 fruits if it is atypical or rare
- 2 fruits if it is epic
- 1 fruit if legendary or mythical
ADJUSTED SOUNDS VISUALIZATION
We’ve reduced the detection radius of the “Visual Sound Effects” indicator for Footsteps, Chests, and Vehicles to better represent the distance at which the sound becomes audible. This means that the source of the sound must now be closer before appearing on your HUD.
NOTES ON COMPETITIVE MODES
- The Darth Vader Boss, Darth Vader’s Lightsaber, Stormtroopers, and E-11 Blaster Rifle are not available in Competitive game modes.
