Path of the Goddess gameplay revealed in trailer

It took Capcom almost a year to come up with little more than a vague plot. But on the occasion of the Xbox Partner Preview,
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess was treated to its first gameplay trailer. Beyond action, it is strategy that takes precedence here. The game is divided into two distinct times, day and night. The first is used to prepare within villages, while the second is dedicated to clashes against the Ikoku.

The daily cycle does not only serve to offer two different atmospheres. It is the basis of the gameplay of Path of the Goddess since it determines what the player’s next actions will be. When the sun is still present, the latter is invited to purge the corruption in the villages, help its inhabitants and put in place a strategy before his next encounter with the demons. It is therefore a time of rest and exploration where there are few dangers.

But once the sun sets, the situation is no longer the same. Creatures emerge from the different torii to invade the village and kill Yoshiro, your protector. So it’s time to take action and fight alongside the villagers. You take advantage of Yoshiro’s divine powers to defend yourself, which gives you a great advantage. How this all actually behaves remains to be seen, as the parade appears to be very important.
