Patient injured – ambulance forced to brake hard

Witnesses wanted! A woman suddenly ran across the street in Innsbruck to catch the tram. An ambulance had to make an emergency stop – a patient was injured.

On Monday at 1:11 p.m., an unknown woman suddenly ran across the road near the Innsbruck tram stop Mitterhoferstrasse to catch a tram. At the same time, an ambulance was on Reichenauerstrasse. The 19-year-old driver of the ambulance had to slam on the brakes because of her: A patient who was sitting in a wheelchair in the rear of the vehicle was catapulted forward and injured his head. The patient was cared for by the 19-year-old and his passenger and finally taken to the Innsbruck clinic. The pedestrian boarded the tram before her data could be taken.
