INTERVIEW – For the general manager of Axa France, “the company is above all a human adventure”.
In the spring of 2021, Patrick Cohen took up his post as managing director of Axa France, flagship of the insurer, with a turnover of 28.3 billion euros in 2021 and 15,000 employees. He joined the group in 2016 as head of Axa in Italy. A graduate of ESCP, he notably worked for McKinsey, General Electric Capital and Zurich Assurances.
LE FIGARO. – What did you do during your first hundred days as general manager of Axa France?
Patrick Cohen. – I officially took up my duties in May 2021 but, from April, I was in the field with the general agents and collaborators to experience Axa France on a daily basis. At each meeting, I asked two questions: what makes Axa France unique in your eyes? If you had a magic wand, what would you change?
