Pop star Patrick Lindner remembers his deceased mother on the fifth anniversary of her death – with touching words.

Five years ago pop star Patrick Lindner (60, "Mittenrein ins Glück") lost his mother Hedwig Raab, who died at the age of 89. On the fifth anniversary of her death, Lindner wrote a few touching words to her via Instagram.

"Today is the 5th anniversary of the day we had to let you go. We think of you dear Mommy every day," wrote Lindner about a picture of the two. To do this, he used the hashtag "#missyou", in English "I miss you" and "#danke"

As Lindner revealed in an interview with the magazine "Pflege & Familie" in 2017, he had cared for his mother himself for years before her death after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. He was able to "enable her to live an independent life again" for three years. However, a stroke and worsening dementia later made round-the-clock care inevitable.
