Patrick Poivre d´Arvor accused of rape: a writer comes out of the silence and talks about their relationship: Femme Actuelle Le MAG

Since February 18, 2021, Patrick Poivre d´Arvor has been in turmoil. The 73-year-old journalist – who for nearly two decades was the star of the 20 Hours newspaper TF1 – is in fact targeted by a rape investigation, opened by the Nanterre public prosecutor's office following the complaint filed by the writer Florence Porcel. The latter, now 37, claims to have been sexually assaulted on several occasions between 2004 and 2009. Since these shocking revelations, reactions have continued. Patrick Poivre d´Arvor decided to file a complaint in his turn, for "slanderous denunciation ”. His ex-wife and colleague, Claire Chazal, took the floor to react to these accusations, as did Jean-Pierre Pernaut or Anne-Sophie Lapix. All of them more or less supported the so-called PPDA … firmly denying the testimony of very questionable behavior by the journalist in the corridors of Channel 1. And on Monday March 8, 2021, Patrick Poivre d´Arvor seems to have found new support.

"It is thanks to this man that I am the woman I am today"

The writer therefore returned to the rape charges against PPDA: "I fell from a very, very high place and for 48 hours after the announcement I thought 'this is a nightmare, I am going to wake up, it is not possible'. Because it is my whole story and my whole identity that is unraveling. I lost my whole world a bit and I had to take a step back ", she explained in front of the cameras.

The young woman, however, qualified her remarks, assuring that she would never defend "a man who abuses him or someone else ”, despite the "17 years of history ” which she shares with Patrick Poivre d´Arvor. Finally, Sabrina Missègue referred to the rumors circulating about the seductive attitude of Patrick Poivre d´Arvor in the premises of TF1. I never felt insecure. And above all, when I read in magazines that the young girls who went to his office were the McDonald's from PPDA, I feel insulted. I was never his McDonald's. These are the things I want to defend ”, the author finally concluded.
