Paul Belmondo and Anthony Delon paid a nice tribute to their respective fathers this Thursday, April 2. They indeed visited the Borsalino factory in Italy, in reference to Jacques Deray’s film in which the two cinema legends starred together.
A cult movie. In 1970, John Paul Belmondo And Alain Delonthe two biggest stars of French cinema at the time, were united in Borsalino, a hoodlum film directed by Jacques Deray. And more than 50 years later, their respective eldest sons, Paul And Anthony, traveled to Alexandria in Italy to visit the factory of the famous hat brand. A trip that they both shared on their Instagram accounts.
“What happiness and what emotion for me to discover the Borsalino Museum in Alexandria accompanied by my friend Anthony. Together, we were able to meet exceptional craftsmen and above all touch a piece of the history of our respective fathers”wrote Paul Belmondo in the caption of photos in the heart of the factory.
The two friends at the wheel of a legendary car
“Inauguration of the Borsalino museum yesterday in Alessandria with my friend Paul and many guests. Then visit the manufacturing plant. A unique experience that takes us back in time and the films that rocked our youth“, captioned his side Anthony Delon. The two men were then photographed in the same car that can be seen on the poster of the film, where their fathers appear hats on their heads and cigars in their mouths.
This poster had also provoked the anger of Jean-Paul Belmondo, the latter not supporting that the name of Alain Delon appears twice on the poster. A double presence justified because Alain Delon was also the producer of the film. Bébel had nevertheless refused to attend the preview and had filed a complaint three years later. Justice had finally given him reason, considering that his contract had not been respected. Despite this, the two stars had reconciled a few years later and had once again shot together in the films The Hundred and One Nights of Simon Cinema And One chance out of two.
