Paul Matters: Former AC / DC bass player has passed away

The AC / DC fan base mourns the loss of former bassist Paul Matters. The musician was kicked out of the band by Bon Scott in 1975.

The Australian cult band AC / DC mourns the loss of a former member: Ex-bassist Paul Matters passed away on Wednesday October 14th. The band biographer Jesse Fink confirmed this on his Twitter account. Both the cause of death and the exact age of the musician are unknown. Matters withdrew from the public after being kicked out in 1975 by singer Bon Scott (1946-1980).

Matters joined the band just a few months after their debut album "High Voltage" and did some live concerts in their home country Australia with the rest of the members, above all the brothers Malcolm (1953-2017) and Angus Young (65). The singer Scott is said to have kicked Matters out of the band just a few weeks after the tour. He was replaced by Mark Evans (64), who only stayed with AC / DC for two years.
